About Dr. Michael Kane, MD   Dr. Michael Kane is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 35 years of experience treating mental health and substance use disorders. He completed his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine, followed by residency training in Psychiatry (1991) and Family Medicine (2000). For 20 years, he held dual board certification in both fields and now maintains certification exclusively in Psychiatry, aligning with his focus on behavioral health and addiction medicine. As Chief Medical Officer of Indiana Center for Recovery, Dr. Kane oversees medical strategy and clinical operations across ten treatment facilities, leading the organization’s expansion from a single location to ten in just four years. His leadership has helped position the Center as one of the fastest-growing, most trusted providers of evidence-based behavioral healthcare in the Midwest. Under his direction, the organization has recorded more than 7,200+ alumni success stories—reflecting its reach and long-term impact. Under Dr. Kane’s guidance, the organization has earned Joint Commission Accreditation and certification from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), affirming a deep commitment to clinical quality and patient safety. <h2>About Jackie Daniels, LCSW, CADAC</h2> <p>Jackie Daniels is a <strong>licensed clinical social worker in Indiana</strong> and a dedicated professional with nearly two decades of experience in the field of <strong>mental health and addiction</strong>. Currently serving as the <strong>Director of Clinical Development</strong> at the Indiana Center for Recovery in Bloomington, Indiana. Jackie has made significant contributions to the advancement of mental health and substance use disorder recovery initiatives.</p> <p>Jackie received her <strong>undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University</strong>. As a person with lived experience, Jackie brings a unique perspective and passion to her role. Her journey has fueled her commitment to advocating for individuals in recovery, and she actively engages in training and speaking engagements on crucial topics such as <strong>co-occurring disorders</strong>, <strong>bipolar disorder</strong>, <strong>stigma</strong>, <strong>suicide</strong> and <strong>overdose prevention</strong>, and <strong>trauma-informed care</strong>. She has presented to audiences small and large, with over <strong>500 presentations</strong> and <strong>speaking engagements</strong> under her belt.</p> <p>Jackie’s impact extends beyond her professional roles. In 2012, she showcased her expertise on Lifetime Television’s <strong>“Teen Trouble”</strong> with Josh Shipp. In 2016, she played a pivotal role in introducing the overdose antidote <strong>“Naloxone”</strong> to Indiana University students, demonstrating her dedication to creating safer environments and addressing the opioid crisis. Additionally, Jackie pioneered the establishment of the first Collegiate Recovery Program on campus and the first in Indiana, furthering her commitment to supporting students in recovery.</p> <p style="font-weight: 500;font-size: 20px">Jackie Daniels supports the implementation of personalized, evidence-based treatment approaches, including:</p> <ul> <li>Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)</li> <li>Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)</li> <li>GeneSight® pharmacogenetic testing</li> <li>Trauma-informed care and co-occurring disorder treatment</li> </ul> <ul class="block-ul-list" style="margin-bottom: 25px"> <li>Holistic therapies including yoga, meditation, fitness, art, and music therapy</li> </ul> <p>Jackie is driven by the belief that individuals in mental health recovery deserve access to high-quality care within a safe and comfortable environment.
